What is Notion PDF Export?
Notion PDF Export is a Chrome extension that prints and exports Notion pages to PDF. It adds a PDF button to the Notion top bar, next to Share. Notion PDF Export builds the document in the browser and hands it to the browser's print dialog, where it is saved as a PDF or sent to a printer. The PDF has real text that can be searched, selected and copied. Notion PDF Export runs in Chrome 131 or newer and in other Chromium browsers such as Edge and Brave, and works on every Notion plan. Notion PDF Export needs no account.
What does Notion PDF Export do for free?
Notion PDF Export exports single Notion pages to PDF for free, without a limit and without a watermark. The free plan is not a trial. It sets the paper (A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5 or Tabloid), portrait or landscape, the margins and the scale up to 125%. It adds header text, footer text and sheet numbers to every sheet. A preview shows every sheet before printing. Page breaks fall between lines and table rows, a heading stays with its text, and a divider can start a new sheet. Collapsed toggles print expanded. A Notion database prints as a table, with its header row on every sheet.
What does Notion PDF Export Pro add?
Notion PDF Export Pro prints a page together with its subpages, up to five levels deep, on any Notion plan. Pro generates documents from a Notion database, such as invoices, certificates, name badges, report cards and delivery notes: field names in braces, such as {Client}, take each row's values, and every row, or every ticked row, gets its own sheet. Pro prints several rows to a sheet, for labels, and adds a logo (PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG) to the header or footer of every sheet. The preview of these features and of the first five documents is free.
What does Notion PDF Export cost?
Single-page exports are free. Notion PDF Export Pro has three plans:
- Pro Monthly: $6.99 a month, billed monthly.
- Pro Yearly: $59 a year, which is $4.92 a month.
- Team: $59 a year per seat, 10% off from 5 seats and 20% off from 10 seats.
Prices are in US dollars and include tax where it applies. Polar Software Inc. sells Pro as merchant of record. Pro can be cancelled at any time and stays active until the end of the paid period. The pricing section and the terms state the same prices.
What data does Notion PDF Export send?
Notion PDF Export does not upload Notion content. It reads the page in the open Notion tab and builds the PDF in the browser. It never changes or deletes Notion pages. Its server stores a random install identifier, whether the install has a Pro licence, and anonymous counts of product events, such as how many exports ran. To activate Pro, the licence key and the identifier go to Polar, which checks the key. The privacy policy has the details.
What does Notion PDF Export not do?
Notion PDF Export does not save a separate PDF for each database row; one run is one PDF. It does not print onto label sheets with a fixed grid of several columns. Date and formula columns do not print their value yet, so dates are typed as text. Header and footer text prints as typed, without fields such as the page title or the date. Database rows are not exported as subpages. Notion PDF Export does not write to a Notion workspace.
How does Notion PDF Export differ from Notion's own export and from Print Notion?
Notion's own PDF export includes subpages only on the Business and Enterprise plans and has no header, footer, page numbers or preview of the sheets, according to Notion's help centre in September 2026. Print Notion is a Chrome extension that also generates documents from a Notion database. Print Notion Pro is listed at $9.99 a month or $99.90 a year and its free plan adds a watermark, according to printnotion.com in September 2026.
