Available in the Notion Marketplace
The Notion report card template in short
The template is a Notion page with a database of students. You fill in the database, and Notion PDF Export prints one report per row as one PDF, each on its own sheet. Duplicating and editing the template is free, and so is the preview of the first five reports. Printing them is part of Pro.
The template
What is in the Notion report card template
Everything on one Notion page: your list of students on top, the report below, written once with blanks such as {Comment} that every row fills in.

| Column | Placeholder | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Student | {Student} | Emma Clarke |
| Class | {Class} | 7B |
| Maths | {Maths} | A |
| English | {English} | B+ |
| Science | {Science} | A- |
| Art | {Art} | B |
| Comment | {Comment} | Emma has worked with real focus this term. |
| Teacher | {Teacher} | Mr Hughes |
Grades are text columns, so A-, B+ or a mark out of 100 print as typed.
Guide
How to print report cards from Notion
Duplicate it into your workspace
Open the Notion report card template and click Duplicate at the top right, or get it from its listing in the Notion Marketplace. The copy is yours, on any Notion plan.
Make it your report
Replace the sample students with your class, the term with yours, and the subjects with the ones you teach. Delete the "How to use this template" callout, or it prints on every report.
A new subject is a new text column, such as History, and a new row in the grades table with {History}.
Print every report at once
With the extension installed, click PDF next to Share and choose "Notion document generator". The preview shows the first five reports filled in, states how many the run will print, and names any placeholder that matches no column.
To print only some students, tick their rows in the database before you click PDF.
Click Print and choose "Save as PDF": one PDF with every report on its own sheet. The Notion mail merge guide explains the placeholder rules in detail.

Adapt it
Make it fit your work
Subjects and terms
Add or rename subject columns and their rows in the grades table. The term is plain text in the page, so change it once for the whole class.
Progress reports
Swap the grades for "Working towards", "Expected" or "Greater depth", or add an Attendance column. Any text column prints as typed.
Your school logo
Header text, footer text and sheet numbers are free. Your logo in the header or footer of every report is part of Pro.
FAQ
Notion report card template: common questions
Is the Notion report card template free?
Yes. Duplicating and editing it is free, and so is previewing the first five filled-in reports. Printing the filled-in reports with the extension is part of Pro, at $6.99 a month or $59 a year.
Can the teacher comment be long?
Yes. The comment is a text column and prints in full; a long comment moves the rest of the report down, and a report that does not fit one sheet continues on the next.
Can I add attendance or a second term?
Yes. Add a text column such as Attendance and put {Attendance} where it belongs in the report. For a second term, add columns such as Maths T2, or duplicate the page once per term.
Can I print a report for just one student?
Yes. Tick that student's row in the database, then click PDF. The document generator, part of Pro, prints only the ticked rows. With nothing ticked, every row is printed.
Is student data uploaded?
No. The extension reads the page in your open Notion tab and builds the reports in your browser. It never changes your pages.
